Jermaine O'Neal has insisted that games like the 102-101 win over the New Orleans Pelicans will help improve the character in the Golden State Warriors locker room.
The Warriors survived a late fightback from the Pelicans to end a three-game losing streak and O'Neal believes that it was good experience for the team.
"These games are character builders for us because we're trying to do something special," the 35-year-old told journalists after the game. "Not every game is going to be easy for us.
"We're going to have nights like tonight where guys like myself are going to have to step up."
Golden State visit the Dallas Mavericks tonight.
