New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony believes that the Los Angeles Lakers 'did right' by signing Kobe Bryant to a contract extension.
The 35-year-old is currently sidelined with a ruptured Achilles, but the franchise announced that he was signing a two-year extension.
"It's Kobe, man. They did a good deed to him. He's been there his whole career," Anthony said, according to the New York Post.
"Obviously, he'll bow out there. They did him right. It worked out for both parties."
Bryant will remain the highest-paid player in the NBA as a result of the deal he officially signed on Monday.
