Milwaukee Bucks acquire Caron Butler

Caron Butler is traded to the Milwaukee Bucks by the Phoenix Suns, who acquire Ish Smith and Slava Kravtsov as part of the deal.

The Phoenix Suns have agreed to trade Caron Butler to the Milwaukee Bucks, with Ish Smith and Slava Kravtsov moving in the opposite direction.

Butler joined the Suns in July following a successful spell for the Los Angeles Clippers, but Phoenix have decided to let the 33-year-old leave to make way for point guard Smith and center Kravtsov.

"We're very excited to welcome Caron back home," Bucks general manager John Hammond said in a statement, referring to Butler's upbringing in Racine, Wisconsin.

Butler has averaged 15.5 points per game in an 11-year NBA career.
