New York Knicks head coach Derek Fisher has insisted that he will never tell his team to not attempt to win their NBA matches.
The Knicks have endured a miserable season as they won for just the 17th time in their victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.
However, their victory could jeopardise their odds of receiving the top pick in the 2015 Draft, which Fisher has admitted may not please some of the club's supporters, but he is adamant that he will never tell his team to lose.
"I'm sure people are upset with us," Fisher told reporters. "But I don't think you can ever go out there and basically try and not play your best. Those two things don't go together."
The Knicks play the Detroit Pistons in their final game of the season on Wednesday.
