The Oklahoma City Thunder are hopeful of having Russell Westbrook back on the court later this week, according to a report.
Westbrook has been out of action since December after being forced to undergo surgery on his right knee, and the Thunder were reluctant to set a date for when he would be available again.
The 25-year-old has made good progress behind closed doors this month, but the franchise would only suggest that he would return after the All-Star break.
Oklahoma have now been given a boost with the news that the point guard will be able to make an appearance on Thursday against the Miami Heat, according to Yahoo Sports.
Westbrook is expected to be re-evaluated on Tuesday when the Thunder return to training.
