Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will undergo foot surgery on Tuesday, according to a report.
The 21-year-old was selected with the third overall pick in the 2014 Draft, but missed his rookie season due to a stress fracture in his foot.
However, the issue has not managed to clear up over the past year, resulting in Embiid having to undergo a further procedure to repair the problem, reports Yahoo Sports.
Embiid is expected to have a bone graft procedure on Tuesday, which could rule him out of action for the entire 2015-16 season.
The center's last competitive action came in the 2013-14 college season with the University of Kansas.
