Last season's Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard has admitted that he's targeting a spot in the next NBA All-Star Game.
Lillard enjoyed a successful first season in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers but his own good form was not enough to take the team into the playoffs.
However, the 23-year-old believes that he can continue to improve and become an All-Star for the first time.
"Why not be an All-Star?," Lillard told CBSSports.com. "I believe it can happen. As long as I believe it, it doesn't matter what anyone else says.
"I think it's always been internal. I always had high expectations for myself. If I go to a baseball field, if I'm playing with Major League Baseball players, I expect to play well. It comes from my family, too. They always made me believe it."
Lillard averaged 19 points per game last season.
