China's Ren Cancan has edged into the semi-finals with a solid performance against Russia's Elena Savelyeva.
Ren took a 2-1 lead after a tentative opening round and she had doubled that advantage by the conclusion of the second.
Despite taking some shots, the Chinese fighter was connecting with more than her opponent and she continued to edge herself ahead.
The Russian could not cope with the work rate of Ren, who won every round to take a 12-7 decision.
