Team England boxer Nicola Adams has said that the support she has received in recent days has been "absolutely amazing".
The 2012 Olympic gold medallist opened her Commonwealth Games challenge with victory over Oluwatoyin Oladeji in Glasgow on Monday evening.
"It feels absolutely amazing. I had a fantastic reception and I would just like to thank everyone that came out and everyone that was sat at home watching," she told reporters.
"[Team England] have had some wins and losses, but everybody has stuck together as a team and all the lads are still supporting us."
Adams will fight Erandi de Silva in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
