Kazakhstan's Gani Zhailauov has defeated Thailand's Saylom Ardee on a count-back in an exciting Olympic lightweight encounter.
The bout started at a ferocious pace, with both men trading shots, causing Zhailauov to bleed from his nose.
The second round was a bit scrappier, but there was no shortage of action as the pair continued to throw bombs.
It was all square at 8-8 as they entered the final three minutes, and it was Ardee who came out swinging, delivering heavy combinations to the body of the Kazakh.
The Thai worked hard and thought that he had done enough to win, but the judges did not agree and it was Zhailauov who won after the scores had finished 12-12.
