WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns believes that he is ready to come through a "very difficult fight" against Terence Crawford on Saturday night.
Burns will be defending his world title against an opponent who is tipped to dominate the lightweight division in the future, but the Scot has revealed that he is delighted with his preparations for the bout at the SECC Arena in Glasgow.
The 30-year-old told Sky Sports News: "No-one knows more than me that this is going to be a very difficult fight, but I couldn't be happier with the way that the preparation and sparring has gone.
"I know that whatever he is going to bring to the table on Saturday night, I'm going to be ready for.
"We've got Plan A, and a Plan B if that fails, so I can't wait to get in there to hopefully put on a good performance."
Burns has won 36 of his 39 professional bouts, while Crawford is unbeaten in 22 encounters.
