Savannah Marshall has been crowned Great Britain's first women's world boxing champion after a 17-15 victory over Azerbaijan's Elena Vystropova in Qinhuangdao.
Marshall made her 21st birthday all the sweeter by going one better than bellow Brit Nicola Adams, who had to settle for silver in her flyweight final.
The Hartlepool middleweight had to ignore a bloody nose to repel the dogged challenge of her opponent and go one better than the world silver she claimed in 2010.
