Floyd Mayweather Jr has insisted that it will take time for an opponent to be named for his next fight in September.
The unbeaten American has been linked with an encounter against Amir Khan, but the pound-for-pound king has revealed that no decision is imminent regarding his next foe.
The 38-year-old told Mayweather Promotions: "I look forward to fighting this September, hopefully we've got a good competitor.
"I'm pretty sure we will have a solid competitor. Everything takes time, we'll see. We don't know yet. We have to take time and we'll see."
Mayweather's last victory saw him defeat Manny Pacquiao on points in the most lucrative showdown in the history of the sport.
