WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko is set to fight Manuel Charr on September 1, in what many think will be his last professional bout.

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will take on Germany's Manuel Charr in Kiev on September 1 in what is expected to be his final professional bout.

Klitschko, 40, will fight in his homeland for just the second time, with the first over a decade ago in 1998.

Syrian-born Charr, 27, is unbeaten with a 21-0 professional record, while Klitschko holds a 44-2 win-loss streak.

A crowd of 70,000 will bid farewell to Klitschko, who is expected to move into politics following his retirement, at the national football stadium.
