Australia have included uncapped batsman George Bailey in their 12-man squad for the first Ashes Test in Brisbane next week, while Mitchell Johnson has also been recalled.
Bailey has earned a Test call for the first time following his performances in the recent one-day series against India, which included an innings of 156 off 114 balls.
The 31-year-old is likely to bat at number six if included in the Aussie starting XI, while fast bowler Johnson is back in the Test side to replace the injured Mitchell Starc.
All-rounder James Faulkner has also made the squad as cover for Shane Watson, who faces a fight to be fit for the first Test with a niggling hamstring injury.
Australia squad: Chris Rogers, David Warner, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke (captain), Steve Smith, George Bailey, Brad Haddin, Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle, Ryan Harris, Nathan Lyon, James Faulkner
