Paul Collingwood has declared that England have become an "exciting" team to watch over the past few months.
The Three Lions continued their recent run of good form, sparked in their one-day series against New Zealand, by defeating Australia by 169 runs in the first Test of the Ashes series at Sophia Gardens.
Collingwood believes that the Baggy Greens will find life extremely tough to get back into the series, putting their hopes of retaining the Ashes in jeopardy.
He told Sky Sports News: "The brand of cricket that they are playing is very exciting. As long as they keep putting the opposition under pressure, they are going to get some positive results.
"They are still learning, they are a young group of players, but they have played some exceptional cricket over the last few months and are going to be a hard team to beat."
The second Test of the series begins at Lord's on Thursday.
