England bowler Mark Wood has said that he has enjoyed the 'perfect summer' after taking the wicket that ensured that England regained The Ashes from Australia.
Wood clean-bowled Nathan Lyon to seal victory by an innings and 78 runs in the fourth Test match at Trent Bridge, and the Durham paceman has admitted that closing out the match was an "incredible feeling".
The 25-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I can't quite believe it. The summer couldn't have gone any better for me.
"To miss out at Edgbaston and then to be back here and take the winning wicket is an incredible feeling, one I'll never forget. I was still shaking in the dressing room half an hour later."
England lead the series 3-1, with the fifth and final Test beginning at The Oval on August 20.
