Ashley Giles: 'England can be dangerous in World Twenty20'

Ashley Giles believes that England are a "dangerous" side if they can peak during the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.

Ashley Giles has claimed that England can be a "dangerous" team if they peak at the right time ahead of the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.

England's limited-overs coach witnessed his side beat the West Indies on Thursday to avoid a T20 series whitewash in the Caribbean, but he admits that there is still work to be done in the batting department after posting a first-innings score of 165-6.

"We're not quite ready, I'd say," Giles told reporters. "We've had one performance there with the top of the order, not a complete batting performance but I'd say that score was about par.

"But sometimes it's better to peak as you enter tournaments. We've got two warm-up games in Bangladesh, we feel we're starting to get close now and if you can get some momentum going, then who knows? If we get it right, we'll be dangerous."

England have won just one of their six T20 matches in 2014.
