The England and Wales Cricket Board have announced that spin bowler Graeme Swann will not be included in England's remaining one-day international fixtures against South Africa.
The 33-year-old will be 'rested' for the remainder of the series in order to be ready for the World Twenty20 tournament.
Kent bowler James Tredwell has been chosen to replace the Nottinghamshire player, who has been hampered slightly by an elbow injury in recent months.
The decision comes on the day that England Test captain Andrew Strauss decided to retire from all forms of professional cricket.
