India batsman Shikhar Dhawan has admitted that he 'feels great' after scoring a century during his side's victory over South Africa at the World Cup.
The defending champions kept up their winning start to the tournament on Sunday as they beat the Proteas by 130 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Dhawan played a key part in India's triumph against their Pool B rivals, scoring 137 runs from 146 balls.
"It was very important to score a century, it's a great feeling," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "More than that, it was important that we put on big partnerships for the team.
"We lost an early wicket today but we just wanted to stay there and respect the good balls and cash in on the bad deliveries. I knew I could pick up the run-rate. I was relaxed."
India continue the defence of their World Cup crown on Saturday when they play the UAE in Perth.
