Virender Sehwag has hit back at MS Dhoni after the Indian captain called him a "slow fielder".
On Sunday, Dhoni said that the top three batsmen have not been picked together because they are on the "slower side" in the field.
However, opener Sehwag has taken issue with his captain's comments and said that he is instead being rotated to give youngsters their chance.
"Dhoni told us he wanted to give a chance to the youngsters who are expected to play vital roles in the 2015 World Cup," said the 33-year-old. "He never told us that slow fielding is an issue.
"I am putting this on record that I am available for all the matches. It depends on the captain and coach what eleven they pick.
"If they give me a reason that we are giving chance to youngsters and we need to take a break, I am happy with that."
Sehwag stepped in as captain for the 51-run loss to Sri Lanka in Brisbane following Dhoni's one-match suspension.
