The Glazer family are seemingly trying to become the owners of an IPL franchise which will feature in next year's competition.
The Americans are no strangers to owning sports teams with Manchester United and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers included in their portfolio.
However, according to the Daily Mail, they are now bidding to enter the cricket world by expressing an interest in the Indian Premier League.
The Glazers are one of 18 parties to signal that they would be interested in taking charge of one of two new IPL sides which will play in 2022.
They have collected the invitation to tender ahead of potentially featuring in an auction which is scheduled to take place on Monday.
The two teams will come from either Indore, Lucknow, Cuttack, Ahmedabad, Guwahati or Dharamsala.
