Kane Williamson reaches century as New Zealand extend lead to 190 runs

New Zealand stretch their lead over Sri Lanka to 190 runs at lunch on day four of the second Test, courtesy of Kane Williamson's century.

Kane Williamson completed his century as New Zealand extended their lead over Sri Lanka to 190 runs at lunch on day four of the second Test in Wellington.

The hosts went into the morning session with an 118-run advantage and five wickets remaining, but Sri Lanka could do nothing to stunt their progress as New Zealand went into lunch on 325-5.

Williamson (121*) and Bradley Watling (76*), who finished day three in the middle, continued to defy Sri Lanka's bowlers this morning as the duo survived the entire session.

Brendon McCullum's side took a 1-0 lead in the series with an eight-wicket victory in Christchurch last week.
