New Zealand have progressed to the Super Eights stage at the ICC World Twenty20 Cup despite suffering a 13-run defeat to Pakistan in Pallekele.
Left-handed batsman Nasir Jamshed hit a maiden half-century to help Pakistan post 177-6.
Although the Black Caps could only make 164-9 in reply, they still qualify for the next stage courtesy of their previous big win over Bangladesh.
Pakistan are likely to join New Zealand in the last eight, however a heavy defeat to Bangladesh in their final group game could see them eliminated.
