Hobart Hurricanes see off Barbados Tridants

An unbeaten knock of 39 from Shoaib Malik helps the Hobart Hurricanes to get the better of the Barbados Tridants.

The Hobart Hurricanes recorded a six-wicket victory over the Barbados Tridants in T20 Champions League this afternoon.

It was the Tridants that batted first, but they could only make 113 before they were bowled out with two balls to spare. Jonathan Carter was their top scorer, having amassed 42 runs before he was caught by Doug Bollinger.

In reply, the Hurricanes lost early wickets, but Shoaib Malik steadied the innings and he remained unbeaten at the crease on 39 when the winning runs were struck with 18.2 overs having been bowled.

The win has sealed a place in the semi-finals of the competition for the Hurricanes.
