The doctor treating Mark Boucher has claimed that the South African should be able to regain his vision following an injury to his eye.
Boucher was forced to retire from international cricket after suffering the injury playing against Somerset, but early signs suggest that the wicket-keeper may make a full recovery after undergoing surgery.
Dr Manjra told the South African Sunday Times: "There's no obvious detachment of the retina, which is very positive.
"But, clearly, we can't say it's 100%, because we still need to go in physically and have a look at it."
The 35-year-old has reportedly not given up hope of playing cricket again.
