South Africa batsman Jacques Rudolph has insisted that the Proteas are ready to take on England in the three-match Test series starting on Thursday.
Despite not playing much cricket in the build-up to the series and the warm-up game against Kent being hampered by rain, Rudolph maintains that South Africa are looking forward to the first Test starting.
"I can promise you that all the boys just want that first Test to start now," CricInfo quotes Rudolph as saying.
"We're well aware we haven't played a lot of cricket before this series and we've accepted that. England have played a lot of cricket, we haven't but we're not going to be worried."
Rudolph scored a half-century in the Proteas' warm-up game in Kent.
