Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins has confirmed that he will ride in the Tour of Britain next month.
The 32-year-old missed out on the recent Tour of Denmark with Team Sky as he was given extra rest time after winning gold at the recent Olympic Games.
When asked what his next plans are, Wiggins said: "I'm doing the Tour of Britain now.
"It'll be nice. I'll try to stay fit between now and then so I don't embarrass myself! It'll be good."
Wiggins will return to competitive action in Ipswich, where the Tour of Britain begins on September 9.
