Former cyclist and Olympic gold medallist Chris Boardman believes that Bradley Wiggins will be regarded as one of the "top" British sportsmen of our time.
The 32-year-old clinched Britain's second gold medal in today's time trial just weeks after becoming the first British man to win the Tour de France.
"I didn't think anyone was going to touch Bradley Wiggins today," BBC Sport quotes Boardman as saying. "His sporting performances this year have been unprecedented.
"The greatest British cyclist of all time, I have no qualms about saying that. One of the top British sportsmen, also."
Meanwhile, Great Britain claimed another Olympic gold this morning in the women's pair final.
