Chris Froome has refused to rule out the possibility of competing in next year's Tour de France for Team Sky.
The 2013 winner previously suggested that he may skip the race due to the lack of a long individual time trial, but he has hinted that he could still take on the responsibility of leading the challenge in France.
"Looking to next year, my key goal is just returning to good condition and being at the front of a race again," Froome told Team Sky's official website.
"That is a really big motivation for me, whether it's the Tour or any other race. It's what I love doing.
"I love racing and being able to compete at the front. That is what gets me through the winter when I'm riding those long hours on my own."
Froome abandoned the Tour in the fifth stage this year after falling three times over two days.
