Phil Taylor has dedicated his fourth successive World Matchplay victory to mentor Eric Bristow.
Taylor emerged as an 18-8 victor over opponent James Wade, a success which included a seven-leg winning stretch.
"I'd like to dedicate this to Eric [Bristow] because he still believed in me," Taylor told Sky Sports after collecting the trophy.
"He put his belief behind me and put his money behind me and that's for him."
Yesterday's win in Blackpool was Taylor's first major for 12 months.
