AC Milan centre-back Philippe Mexes has been banned for three games after punching an opponent in an off-the-ball occurrence.
The incident happened in the Italian champions' 1-1 draw with current Serie A title rivals Juventus.
A disciplinary tribunal of the Italian league said it had based its decision on video evidence which showed the France international punching Juve's Marco Boriello in the side, knocking him to the ground.
The ban means that Mexes will miss Milan's games against Palermo, Lecce and Parma.
