Arsenal "will attack" Bayern Munich

Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista says that Arsenal will not sit back when they travel to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista has insisted that the Gunners will attack Bayern Munich when they face the German champions at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Arsene Wenger's side beat Pep Guardiola's team 2-0 on October 20 to reignite their European campaign after previously losing to both Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos.

Despite admitting that they will have to alter their style when they visit Munich, Gabriel is adamant that Arsenal see themselves as a big enough team to hurt Bayern on German turf.

"When we play away, we also have to have a slightly different outlook, but that does not mean that we will spend the whole game defending," the Daily Mail quotes the Brazilian as saying.

"We are a big team, we are Arsenal and we need to attack because we need the result, but we need to attack with intelligence and make sure that we do not suffer a defeat and complicate our situation for the rest of our competition. Everything is possible in football.

"We know the difficulties that we are going to find. Bayern are an excellent team playing at home with the fans on their side, so it will be a big challenge. If we are as determined as we have been over the last few years, I believe that we can go there and get a great result."

Arsenal are currently bottom of Group F, but are just three points behind group leaders Bayern.
