Olivier Giroud is refusing to give up on his hunt to open his Arsenal account.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has insisted that he is still confident that he will have a good season, despite not yet finding the net for the Londoners.

Although he has not had his dream start for his new club, Giroud highlighted the importance of remaining confident and not giving up in the hunt for goals.

"Confidence is so important for a striker," Giroud said. "It's important to keep the faith and to always keep going, even if the goals have not come for me so far.

"You have to always work hard because sometimes when you are a striker you can score every opportunity. You just need to keep concentrating on the game and never give up."

Giroud will face his old club Montpellier when the two sides clash in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
