Hughton: 'No Arsenal complacency'

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton is adamant that Arsenal took his team seriously at the weekend.

Chris Hughton has ruled out the notion that Arsenal took his Norwich City side lightly on Saturday evening.

The Canaries upset the form book at Carrow Road to defeat Arsenal 1-0 thanks to a goal from captain Grant Holt.

When asked if he detected any complacency in Arsenal's play, Hughton replied: "No, they are far too professional an outfit and they have far too much quality to treat anybody lightly.

"I just think it's on the day. If you play well enough on the day and you restrict their chances enough or have a fair bit of luck or you have a goalkeeper that has a blinder, they know they can lose any game.

"You need things to go for you and what went for us was the performance was good enough."

Hughton took charge of Norwich in summer following a spell with Birmingham City.
