Piers Morgan tells Arsenal: 'Sack Arsene Wenger, get Jurgen Klopp'

Arsenal fan Piers Morgan urges the club to sack Arsene Wenger in favour of appointing Jurgen Klopp, whose Borussia Dortmund spell is coming to an end.

Arsenal should sack manager Arsene Wenger and hire Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp this summer, according to television personality Piers Morgan.

The German put Europe's elite on high alert on Wednesday after announcing that he would be leaving Signal Iduna Park in the coming months.

Klopp has long been linked with replacing Wenger in North London, and Morgan, a lifelong Arsenal fan, hopes to see the switch materialise.

He wrote on Twitter: "Arsenal would be perfect for Jurgen Klopp - and he would be perfect for Arsenal. Sign him.

"If we don't sign Klopp, he will go to another top club & win big trophies. The guy's a dynamic, driven young winner."

With Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini reportedly on borrowed time at Eastlands, Klopp was understood to be a target of the Citizens but they are not believed to be keen.

The Gunners are currently enjoying an eight-game winning streak in the Premier League and prepare for an FA Cup semi-final against Reading at Wembley this Saturday.

On Wednesday, Sports Mole looked at five possible destinations for 47-year-old Klopp.
