Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has admitted that he is disappointed the club sold goalkeeper Petr Cech to Arsenal.
The 33-year-old ended his 11-year stay with the Blues earlier this summer, after losing his spot in goal to Thibaut Courtois.
However, Matic has said that while he wishes Cech all the best at the Gunners, he is unhappy with his decision to join one of their title rivals.
"Petr is a great guy and a great keeper," Matic is quoted as saying by The Guardian. "It is going to be a very important signing for them.
"But I am not happy because of that. We know that he is very professional. He is one of the best keepers. And I hope this season he does not perform as he did here for 10-11 years.
"I am happy for him because he gets to stay in London, which for him and his family was very important. I wish him all the best."
Cech made 486 appearances for Chelsea and helped the club to win four Premier League titles.
