RVP hails "classic comeback"

Robin van Persie hails Arsenal's comeback as they fought back from 2-0 down to beat Tottenham Hotspur 5-2 at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has described his side's comeback as "classic" after they beat Tottenham Hotspur 5-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners were 2-0 down after 35 minutes before they fought back to claim a famous victory over their local rivals.

"This is a classic comeback. To come back from 2-0 down and beat them 5-2 is unbelievable," Van Persie told Sky Sports News.

"We have it in ourselves to show that sort of commitment and to do it in a game against Spurs is a dream."

The win has lifted Arsene Wenger's side above Chelsea and into fourth place in the Premier League table.
