Arsene Wenger has revealed that Bacary Sagna is still not close to securing a contract extension with Arsenal.
The French defender's current deal expires in the summer and he has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.
Arsenal are believed to have been locked in negotiations with Sagna for a number of months but any potential agreement has been scuppered by the 31-year-old's wage demands.
"No, he is not close to signing," Wenger told reporters.
"It is an ongoing process."
Sagna joined the Gunners from Auxerre in 2007.
