Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger expects his former player Alex Song to thrive in a defensive role at Barcelona.
Song left North London to sign for the Catalan giants in August, and Wenger is convinced that the Cameroon international has enough quality to adapt to life in Spain.
Wenger told BeIn Sports: "Song will succeed at Barca, and something tells me that he will play in central defence.
"No matter who's by his side, he will be good in this role."
Song spent seven seasons at the Emirates in a defensive midfield role, but has played at centre-back in his early matches at the Nou Camp.
