Arsene Wenger is stalling on a move for Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila after the 21-year-old was involved in a number of bust-ups over the past season.

Arsenal have reportedly quelled their interest in Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila following a series of bust-ups during France's Euro 2012 campaign.

The 21-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his midfield options.

However, it has been reported that the Gunners chief is having second thoughts after M'Vila was involved in a fall-out with national coach Laurent Blanc, as well as some of his Les Bleus teammates.

The midfielder has also been arrested three times in the past year, leading Wenger to question his temperament.

M'Vila, who has 22 caps for his country, came through the youth ranks at Rennes before making his debut in 2009.
