Arsenal have reportedly identified Real Madrid outcast Luka Jovic as an ideal replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette is widely expected to end his Emirates stint when his deal expires in the summer of 2022, and Arsenal are being tipped to dip into their war chest for a replacement.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is thought to be on the Gunners' radar for next summer, but they may have difficulty in prising the England international off of Everton's hands.
According to Fichajes, Mikel Arteta has personally identified Jovic as Lacazette's successor, with the former Eintracht Frankfurt man struggling to make a name for himself at the Bernabeu.
The report adds that Jovic is keen to leave Real Madrid 'as soon as possible', meaning that a January swoop could come to fruition as Arsenal look to recoup a fee for Lacazette over the winter.
Jovic has only struck two goals in 38 appearances for Real Madrid, where his contract is not due to expire until the summer of 2025.
