Arsenal may reportedly have to sell as many as six players in order to pay off the remaining money which Lille are due to receive for Nicolas Pepe.

Arsenal reportedly find themselves in a position where they will have to make player sales in order to pay off the deal involving Nicolas Pepe.

While the Gunners signed the winger for a club-record fee last summer, they were only able to push through the transfer by convincing Lille to agree to receiving the fee in a number of instalments.

Before the coronavirus pandemic, the North London outfit were able to meet the next payment, as well as allocate funds for other targets.

However, according to Bleacher Report, club officials are eager to sell a number of players in order to avoid any problems when it comes to paying Lille.

Several first-team players are already being linked with an exit, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who has just over a year left on his contract.

Although Pepe has endured a mixed first season, the Ivory Coast international has still contributed six goals and eight assists in the Premier League and Europa League.
