Premier League side Arsenal have reportedly submitted an offer worth in the region of £10m for Atletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez.
It is understood that the Gunners made an initial approach before Christmas and were given an indication from the 24-year-old that he would be keen to sign on at the Emirates Stadium.
Despite the fact that Adrian has a release clause in his contract valued at £14.7m, Arsenal are hoping that they can secure his services for £4m less, according to Goal.com.
The report has also claimed that Arsenal feel they are more likely to land Adrian, with other targets David Villa and Fernando Llorente seen as a greater challenge to sign.
Adrian has scored three goals in all competitions this season.
