Hector Bellerin 'agrees six-and-a-half year deal with Arsenal'

Hector Bellerin reportedly agrees a six-and-a-half year deal worth £100,000 a week at Arsenal.

Hector Bellerin has reportedly committed his future to Arsenal by agreeing a six-and-a-half year contract at the Emirates.

The 21-year-old right-back has been linked to Manchester City and Barcelona, where he spent eight years as part of the Spanish club's academy.

However, it has been widely reported that Bellerin wants to remain at the Gunners, and manager Arsene Wenger confirmed as much when he told reporters at the weekend that the two parties are close to agreeing fresh terms.

According to the London Evening Standard, the deal will run for six-and-a-half years and Bellerin will pocket around £100,000 a week, which is believed to be double what he currently earns at the North London outfit.

The report adds that Wenger was initially keen to put talks on hold, instead prioritising the contract situations of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez considering that the pair have 18 months left on their deals, while Bellerin still has three years remaining.

Despite that, talks progressed quickly and it is understood that Arsenal will make an official announcement regarding Bellerin's extension within the next 24 hours.
