Real Madrid reportedly want Dani Ceballos - currently on loan at Arsenal - back at the club next season.

Arsenal are reportedly unlikely to have the opportunity to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos on a permanent deal at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

The 23-year-old is due to spend the rest of the season on loan with the Gunners, having arrived at the Emirates Stadium in the latter stages of July.

The Spain international has registered two Premier League assists during an impressive start, featuring in all four of the club's top-flight fixtures thus far this term.

However, according to reports in Spain, Ceballos is unlikely to remain with the English club beyond the end of the season as Los Blancos president Florentino Perez wants the midfielder back at the Bernabeu next term.

Ceballos has scored five times in 56 appearances for Madrid since arriving from Real Betis in 2017.

The Spaniard was deemed surplus to requirements by Zinedine Zidane ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, however, despite the club's failure to sign a potential replacement in the shape of reported targets Paul Pogba or Bruno Fernandes.
