Arsenal confirm that Hector Bellerin has joined Real Betis on a season-long loan with no option to buy.

Arsenal have announced that Hector Bellerin has left the club to join Real Betis on loan for the 2021-22 season.

The former Barcelona starlet held down his role as Arsenal's first-choice right-back for several years before being displaced by Calum Chambers at the back end of last season.

Furthermore, with Bologna's Takehiro Tomiyasu expected to complete a last-minute move to Arsenal on deadline day, Bellerin has been tipped to return to his homeland either on loan or permanently.

Now, Arsenal have confirmed that Bellerin has signed for Real Betis for the remainder of the current campaign after the La Liga side teased his arrival with a series of cryptic tweets.

The deal is not believed to include an option or obligation to buy, meaning that Bellerin is set to return to Arsenal in 2022 before he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2023.

Bellerin is yet to make an appearance this season due to a thigh injury and returns to Spain having scored nine goals and set up 29 more in 239 games for Arsenal so far.
