Wellington Silva thanks Almeria for "great opportunity"

Arsenal forward Wellington Silva, who has joined Almeria on loan, looks ahead to the 2014-15 campaign.

Arsenal forward Wellington Silva has thanked Almeria for handing him "a great opportunity" after joining the Spanish club on loan.

The 21-year-old, who represented Real Murcia last season, will spend the 2014-15 campaign on loan with the Primera Division outfit.

"Almeria have given me a great opportunity, one that I want to make the most of. I've already been with Levante in the Primera, but I was much younger then," he said at an official press conference.

"Now I have more experience and know Spanish football better, having played here for more than three years."

Silva has also spent periods with Levante, Alcoyano and Ponferradina.
