Tottenham Hotspur to rival Arsenal for Axel Disasi?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to rival Arsenal in the race to sign Reims defender Axel Disasi later in 2020.

Reims defender Axel Disasi has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Disasi has just enjoyed the most productive year of his career, helping Reims put together the best defensive record in Ligue 1 on their way to sixth position in the table.

However, the form of the 22-year-old has inevitably led to interest from elsewhere, including from Arsenal who are now admirers of the centre-back.

According to RMC Sport, the Gunners will face competition from their North London rivals during the next window.

With Jan Vertonghen expected to depart Spurs on a free transfer, Jose Mourinho must find a replacement for the Belgium international.

Although Reims would prefer to keep Disasi, the player has just over a year remaining on his contract, leaving it likely that they will attempt to recoup a significant fee.
