Swansea City manager Garry Monk will reportedly be in the running for the Aston Villa job if they decide to part ways with Tim Sherwood.
Villa have picked up just four points from their opening nine Premier League games, losing their last five, which has heaped pressure on the former Tottenham Hotspur boss.
Monk has earned widespread praise for the work that he has done at Swansea, which included leading the Welsh side to their highest Premier League finish of eighth last season.
According to The Telegraph, Villa would be interested in sounding out the 36-year-old to see if he would be interested in a move to the Midlands.
Real Sociedad manager David Moyes and former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers are also thought to be contenders for the manager's job at Villa Park.
Monk played for Swansea for 10 years before being appointed manager in 2014.
